Dear brothers & sisters in Christ,

“God is our refuge and strength,
    a very present help in trouble.”
(Psalm 46:1)

     This second letter in less than a week is to make you aware of changes in our worship scheduling and a few other items. There was a lot of discussion about holding public worship services. In light of Governor Evers' mandate of a statewide ban on all public gatherings of 10 or more issued on 3/17/20 and to assist in slowing the spread of the coronavirus to others out of Christ-centered love for our neighbor, the Church Council of Grace Lutheran Church voted to suspend all public worship services at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake through Easter, April 12th, 2020.  We will review the possibility of restarting them after that time and notify you of that decision in print and at our website: www.graceserves.org

     To assist us in this change in our worship lives, I have enclosed an insert that lists opportunities you can tap into that are the ministry resources of other Sheboygan County LC—MS congregations and The Lutheran Hour. The choices are many.  You can choose from free radio programs (if you have no computer), cable worship services, live stream services, brief worship services that Grace will share on our FaceBook page: , and more. I encourage you to take the time at least once a week to gather with your family or yourself and participate in the ministry of God’s Word from reliable LC—MS pastors.

     In this mailing you will also find envelopes for your offerings to continue support of the ministry here at Grace and beyond. You can send your contribution in the envelopes provided (Please add postage.) Two notes regarding this:

1)    DO NOT send cash.

2)    If you have offering envelopes, please enclose your offering in those and then place them in the          addressed envelope.

     Regarding the receiving of Holy Communion, Rev. Fleischmann and I plan to come to the homes of each family / giving unit to bring communion to your homes, hopefully on a monthly basis. We will set up appointments by calling you on the phone.

     We also recognize that some of you may require errands or deliveries to be done for you.  We have individuals who are willing to do this for you.      We do recognize that change in any way can cause worry, stress, fear, and uncertainty. We remember the words of Psalm 46:1 – “GOD is our refuge and strength.” He IS—ALWAYS!
